We want to help people access this innovative and effective treatment, regardless of their ability to pay. 

 

On average, it costs around 10 to $13,000 USD/ 8 to£10,000 GBP  (depending on time of year and where they are travelling from) to provide the treatment for one person.

 

That’s all in - including: 

• Return travel from home to Long Island in The Bahamas, via Nassau

• Two nights stay in Nassau: on arrival and perhaps before heading home ( flight schedules?)

• Travel to Long Island and beachside accommodation for the duration of the treatment

• One-to-one treatment lead by Kevin, over the 10-14 day treatment period. This includes all the diving, kit included, and evening meals.

 

The costs cover all the above, plus set-up and logistics. 

 

We cost in some specialist time to help participants, and us, make sense of the work. Our Evidence and Learning Officer, Maia, works with participants to gather relevant information about how the treatment works for them, checking in before, during and after treatment using tried and tested tools. Progress is visible through data as well as deeply felt by our participants.

So, about $13,000 to give people their lives back. £10,000.

We've used fundraisers to get funding for individual participants, we've had cash donations, as well as time, energy and expertise from people willing to help. We welcome it all.

 

But it has been tricky to get enough funding at the time that people need help. We are working hard to build a more sustainable organisation to smooth out the processes and have funds ready to help those in need.

We need people with resources to dive in and help us build a sustainable organisation so we can help more people, more quickly.
